Dr. Farringer has lived and worked in Reno almost half his life, moving here in 1991 following his Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at The Ohio State University. He graduated from Manchester University (North Manchester, IN) in 1981, and Indiana University School of Medicine in 1985. Before discovering that he was really meant to be an Obstetrician-Gynecologist, he completed his Family Practice Residency at South Bend Memorial Hospital in 1988. Dr. Farringer is married and has two teenagers, two German Shepherds, and one cat. When not playing with his family and pets, he enjoys running, skiing, tennis, golf, landscape architecture, and home remodeling. He has been Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1993.

Dr. Najima joined Sierra Women’s Health in 2001 following completion of her residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at the University of New Mexico. She received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of California at San Diego, and her Master’s degree from the University of Nevada-Reno. Dr. Najima received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. In 1991 she began her service with the Air National Guard. Dr. Najima was a flight surgeon at the time of her retirement in 2006. Dr. Najima has two adult children who are now both enjoying the college experience. In spite of a very busy practice, she still finds time to snow ski and play tennis competitively.

Margo joined Sierra Women’s Health in 2016, bringing years of experience and a compassionate approach to her work in gynecology. Originally from Wrangell, Alaska, she moved to Reno to attend the University of Nevada, earning a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Dietetics in 2000. After beginning her career as a critical care dietitian, she pursued a Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Pacific University in Oregon, graduating in 2006. Returning to Reno, Margo served in Saint Mary’s emergency department for 11 years before transitioning to women’s health, where she strives to create a safe and positive environment for her patients.
Outside of work, Margo enjoys life with her husband, their two young boys, and their dog, Roxy. Together, they love exploring the outdoors and discovering new destinations. Margo also enjoys learning guitar and singing in her free time.

Alyssa joined Sierra Women’s Health in 2022 after obtaining her Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies at Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island. Prior to this, she graduated from the University of Nevada, Reno where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Sciences, Kinesiology as well as a minor in Psychology. Alyssa found her passion for women’s health and preventive medicine primarily through her education back East and her clinical experiences in Breast Surgery/Oncology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Alyssa is keen on bringing a humanistic approach to her practice.
In her free time, Alyssa enjoys any outdoor adventure including hiking, traveling, relaxing at the Tahoe beaches, snowboarding, and golfing. She also loves spending time with her boyfriend, family, and of course her pups, Ember and Remington.
